Of course, colors will vary. Different Shades of Pink.
~ We went to Tagaytay on Wednesday. So it is down to two: Veritas Hall or Sonya's Garden. We are still trying to compute whichever is cheaper. BUT, we are leaning towards Veritas na. It is more convenient for the guests and we have the flexibility of food. I loooooooved Sonya's though. We ate there for lunch and I was already full halfway thru the meal! We were able to talk to with beautiful Sonya too, and mahgawd, she is so artistic! Ah basta. I love the place. My Coordinator Tita Arnie saw the place and gave our accomodations as a wedding gift. So, me and Edil are going to have our preparations at SONYA's BED and BREAKFAST!!!!
~ We went to Caleruega again so we can know which set up would be prettier yet cheaper. And we have a general set up already, and how I would making my grand entrance without the doors closed :) ~ I have been in touch with Mimi for our pre-nups on the 24th. I'm excited about it! Something different ;) I hope we will be able to pull it off.
++++++
So I will be meeting JJS Strings on Friday, Winston Navarro on Saturday and Divisoria after. I hope I can squeeze in the w@w Scrapbooking Class talaga :)
For my other sister, Agnes, Bridesmaid
For Jr. Bridesmaids, Edil's nieces.

My Beautiful Flower Girls :)
~ And finally I can say it! I will be getting my wish no. 3! (Wish 1 was to get married in Caleruega, Wish 2 was to be able to book Mimi!). I'm getting an ALEX FRANCO cake!!!! Remember my post on my cousin's wedding? They knew how much I love Alex Franco cakes but that needs to be our second priority from food. And they gave it to us as a gift! I loooove my family to bits! They are helping me make my dream wedding come true!!!
So I was able to talk with Alex last night. And all of the w@wies who have booked him are correct. He was so easy to talk to. And price is really no problem for him. We will be meeting him on Tuesday at the famous Chowking in Pioneer St. (Dun sya lagi nakikiapg-meet ng clients nya eh!) at 6PM. Dont be late daw kasi meron syang kausap ng 8PM. Hahahaha. Syet, sana mabigyan ako ng free cake!

Ay ang saya ko! :)
From yesterday,
So, for this week, I firmly resolve to (parang confession no?):
1. Set up appointment with Threelogy. Book them. - Pencil-booked. Temporary date for appointment: Sat, April 2.
2. Set up appointment with JJS. Book them (if JJS is really good). - Appointment: Friday, April 1.
3. Set up appointment with Winston Navarro. Bring collage of wedding gown ideas.4. Make collage of bridesmaids/SS/flowergirl dresses. Buy tela at Divi. - Appointment Sat AM. Have entourgae dresses and a couple of wedding gowns I like saved already. Need to print them when I get home.
5. Go to Tags again. Finalize venue for reception. (Fr. Benny told me there is a Cecilia's Garden). If Veritas was not that pricey, I would have booked them on the spot, but that 20K can go to food (or cake or chocolate fountain, hehehe). BUT, since this is going to be a destination/out-of-town wedding, the convenience of the guests would have an important consideration din. - Will go to Tags Wednesday, March 30.
6. Scout for boxes for the invites.
I have pictures of my flowers for the entourage and my own, cakes (Guess what?! I might be getting Alex Franco as well! Yahoooooo!!!), gowns, and suits . What I don't have is an idea how my hair will look (prolly down with curls) and who my HMUA will be! Mabel will be six months preggy by that time so she might not be able to do me! (Parang ang pangit pakinggan nun ha!) I also have a Tagalog missallette already. I just need to have it sent to Fr. Benny for approval. Hopefully, I can buy DIY stuff this week, ang tagal ng sahod!!!! Pictures to follow :)

Step 1: INVITES OK. So far, I have a final idea for the invites. Good thing a family friend who owns Sasmuan delicacies will celebrate her debut and the invites came in boxes. Elegant, foamed, pink and purple boxes with ribbons. Inside, there was thin, lining paper in pink roses and little bits of pink and purple flowers. Nice! So, I'm going to scout for not-so-big chocolate boxes (think glossy chocolate brown boxes na for assorted chocolates, not the recycled papelmeroti-boxes, pero pwede na din sya if ever I don't see what I want) and ribbons - pink gingham or stripes will do. Yung invites mismo, baka D-I-Y pero kung yung contact ko sa Recto will do it at around 20 bucks (3 inserts - 2 main ones and the location map plus RSVP), e di mas maganda! So far, I have the addresses I need to go to: Boxes: Good ole' Tabora and Ylaya Sts. in Divi Scrapbook Stores: 1. There's a scrapbooking store on the groundfloor of Megamall, in front of Watson's called (what else?) Scrapbook Store. :) - from Data 2. There's on in SM Makati, near the MRT exit, i think. If I'm not mistaken, I think it's called It's A Wrap (if that isn't the name of a resto!). - from Data 3. I went to Craft World, Robinson's Galleria din. It's located at the lower ground floor, the floor under the food court, sa Park Square(malapit sa door ng car park area). Sobrang dami ng craft suppliesdon :O - from Shelley 4. Memory Box. I was going to buy some scrapbooking stuff for my office mate as a gift andI found out nga na they moved sa tabi ng Hot Hoops donuts sa 4th floor ng Robinson's Galleria katabi ng Hot Loops. - from Shelley I'm excited na nga to go to the Scrapbooking Class this Saturday for w@wies. Binondo Manila Tel Nos.: 2411394; 2411395- from Ayvi (she says it has plaid wrapping papers and everything you can think of!!) Ribbons and Boxes: RM. 3132 FIRST ST. NEAR V MAPA STA MESA MANILA. Tel Nos. :7159181 7146026, 7138547-78 For the Paper, I might go to Star Paper na lang and order these cream-colored vellum cards. As for the tiny abubots, I'm thinking about chocolates, kaso di kaya langgamin yun? :D Kaso wala pang reception venue!!!!!! We are going to Tags next Wednesday to check on the remaining venues we have on our list and hopefully, make the d/p already. Nanakaw. Argh!

At last, a wedding preparations-related entry :D We met with Fr. Benny, a family friend-priest who wed my Uncle and Aunt last 1993 (Yep, he is a little old, close to the age of my Dad), who is also going to be our Officiating Priest. As far as I can initially tell, he is as OC as I am.
-
First, he asked what version of the Mass we would like to have. We finalized with Tagalog.
Second, he gave us an assignment :D We were to memorize our wedding vows. He wants it in Tagalog, said eyeball to eyeball (in His words). Sabi ko na nga ba e. That's what he did with Tito's wedding (Incidentally, my Tita Arnie, his wife, would be my sorta wedding coordinator. Hehehe.) Vows said in Tagalog, are more meaningful..."Tintipang kita.." which means "I'm making a covenant with you...", "....na hindi kita pagtataksilan...". Hay.
Third, he doesn't want us to have missallettes! Nor with our guests. His reason was all guests would be at the missallette, not on the couple, which should be the case! Gawa na lang daw kami for the readers, and for posterity's sake (meaning para sa picture! Hahaha!) So, it saves us more. Hay salamat.
He wants our arrhae to have: 1) coins in currency, 2) a small bag of salt, 3) rice, 4) sugar. All tied in a bag, or whatever way we like. Reasons? He said the arrhae symbolizes the things my husband will give me, and these are the basic things we are going to start the family with, and what more to have it blessed.
He doesn't want the closed-door entrance, may-fog-choo-choo effect pa. He wants my parents waiting for me at the door. Ang pinaka-arte ko na lang ay maglakad paakyat ng steps to the Chapel. Sana wag akong hingalin. Hahahaha.
At marami pang iba :) I am now sure of a solemn wedding! Yay!

What comes around, goes around. The question is: When will it come around for me? I played Good Samaritan last Thursday on the way home work. I commute and ride on the PVP Liner everyday to go home, and that day, my tummy was little unruly. I even thought of going down to take a dump (pardon the term) kasi baka maabutan ako sa bus, hehehe. Buti na lang tumahimik si tiyan and I got some shut-eye. I woke up to sounds of panic (or more on usi, I think). Yun pala, there was a passenger who was almost white and is really near passing out. Being a nurse, I went to the commotion and asked what was going on. Upon hearing I was a nurse, all of them got to their seats as if kaya ko na si Mr. Passenger alagaan. Good thing, a kind middle-aged man offered to ride with us in the cab the conductor hailed, or else di ko sya mabubuhat. It turns out the little boy (age 22), just came out of the hospital because of enterocolitis. He cannot move due to severe pain. I have to call his parents from Bulacan using my phone, kasi wala ng load yung bata. Times like those, I wonder what the hell I am doing wasting my time at my present job. After the wedding, I'm going to shift careers, promise. Mamulubi man kami. Unfortunately, doing good sometimes doesn't make the cut for you. My whole bag got stolen (again) for the second time in three months. Buti sana kung cellphone lang eh, No. It was the whole bag. AGAIN! Syet. It had 2thousand bucks which I was about to give to my Dad for his laboratory exams, my cellphone, the cellphone of my Mom, my credit cards, and my 2 beloved PRC IDs which I just got 2 weeks ago. Nanghihina pa din ako when I think about it. The PRC IDs alone cost me more or less 2 grand (nagpa-change of status din kasi ako). At eto pa, nandun yung digital camera ng Tita Lorrie ko which I borrowed to take pictures of our ocular in Tagaytay last Thursday. It held all her pictures during her stay in the Phils., WHICH included her son's wedding pictures as well. Ang galing no? Syet sya.

Talk with The Brat on the way to SOJ:
Aggie: (playing stage mother giving son prep talk) Ok, Matthew, you walk later ha? Show me your smile.
(Matthew smiles showing no teeth - he is bungi kasi eh, so I trained him not to smile so much.)
Mommy: Wow, pogi!
Matthew: (after around 10 minutes) Mommy, after the kasal ni Tita Shark, ilang na ang kasal na ring-barong ako?
Mommy: Two na.
Matthew: After this, ikaw naman ang kakasal?
Mommy: Yup. (distracted coz I was the lector for the mass, I was reading the missallette).
Matthew: So three na?
Mommy: Yup!
Matthew: Magbabarong ba ako?
Mommy: Huh?
Matthew: Ring-barong pa din ba ako?
Mommy: Ay! Oo naman. You will be wearing mas maganda na clothes and you will have a cart na tutulak mo yung bears and flowers and book!
Matthew: Yehey! Tapos ayoko na mag ring-barong ha? Three lang. Kasi pagod na ako eh.
Yep.
He would be Ring Bearer thrice in the span of 6 months.Paano pa kaya pag pinag-artista ko to? Hehe.
After the mass, he went up to me: "Mommy, tapos ka na magdasal? Bakit lalakas ang boses mo ba?" He was referring to my mic!

DRASTIC CHANGE OF PLANS.
My wedding date was moved from June 3 to June 24 and instead of having it in Manila, I'd be having it out of town. In Caleruega to be exact.
I couldn't be any happier.
Real kwento to follow. Im too busy searching for places to hold the reception eh.
*Btw, my cousin got married last night at Shrine of Jesus and the reception was held at the Coconut Palace. Pics to follow.

I NEED A BREAK! Anak ng pating oo. I have been going on for the past weeks on 2 hour sleep periods. Last night, I went on to sleep for 15 hours straight. I woke up to see Mato sleeping already. Di ko man lang nalaro. I.Need.A.Break.

Second (and Last) Wedding Expo for me. It took almost 2 hours to go to the NBC tent at saksakan ng traffic sa EDSA. He! It only took Teena and me around an hour going through almost 200 suppliers and then we ate at one of the eating places and ordered one dozen each of Go Nuts! (as pasalubong, of course!). I saw a cheaper supplier for the Chocolate Fountain, but at 20K, I have to be realistic (and practical), to know I can still not afford it. But mahgawd, it will really really complete my theme! I went through almost all of the cake suppliers and they were reasonably priced at under 10K, but only one layer (10-12 inches) are edible, with Alex Franco (www.alexfrancocakes.com), you get all 5 layers edible, very beyootiful set up, and delicioso cake as well. I just have to convince Edil or have it sponsored by one of my relatives (hehehe). He would be doing the cake of a cousin to be wed this Saturday so I'm excited to finally see his cake (AND TASTE it!!). Hopefully, Edil agrees to get him too. I found an interesting supplier for the souvenirs for our principal sponsors as well. Since most of them came from an organization where me and Edil are active, they would appreciate it if we give a religious item. I'm thinking of getting the Holy Cross as well, for our new place c",). I originally wanted to give away coffee and mugs, but since most of them are from the U.S and would be sending in proxies, baka mabasag lang yung mugs. Siguro, for the proxies na lang yun. It would save me shipping costs din. Well, me and Edil are going slowly in terms of ACTUAL preparations. We have agreed to cool our available stash and wait for it to multiply miraculously (HA!), and do final payments on April. We still don't have a videographer though. By April, we would know if Threelogy would still fit the budget. I hope we get them. They sound fun, and reviews at w@w are good. Plus, at 20K and 3 CCD cams, it really IS cheap. Speaking of videographers, Jason Magbanua and other suppliers gave out VCD samples of their edited tapes and they were pretty good. No mushy music, flowers in the background, and lacey text. I get nauseous when I am forced to watch wedding videos like that before. Thank God for modern technology. Checklist for the week: - Do Reception Checklist. - Do general cleaning on the house. Nana Au set to leave last week of March. - Finally get serious in dieting.

Learn to smile and enjoy the ride. Have you ever heard of ladies turning into OC, nagging monsters when they get too involved in preparing for the wedding? I turned into one about a week ago. The stress finally got to me. First, we are really having a wedding on a budget. But we know getting married is not all about the money. And with 9 years being together, and a year of being legally married but not really living together, I was ready, even very very eager, to tie the knot. We are currently looking for a place (that is near my parent's house which should not be over 6-7K a month), the nana of Mato is leaving in April (and not coming back), Mato's tuition (in JUNE!) plus the wedding. We didnt talk for a week and that's when I realized I needed to take it easy and smile. The most important thing is we are having our union blessed and I can wake up to him each morning for the rest of my life. I know my wedding will be a blast, not because of how beautiful the details are, but because, all the people I love are happy for me, and Im finally marrying the man I have loved since I was 15 :) Lesson of the Week: Learn to smile and enjoy the ride.

Ask if we can have white carpet, and forego flower arrangements. I want a white carpet with pink rose petals scattered on the carpet.
Will they include the ceremony candles?
Ask list of songs not to be played during ceremony.
Ask for copy of misalette. I have one already (a soft copy) c/o of a co-w@wie, Serg ni Dex, but I would need to ask if we can revise it.
Ask if you can personalize wedding vows.
Ask if you can change the readings, how many readings.
Ask if you can incorporate Unity Candle Ceremony.
Ask what are the things needed for the offertory.
Decide on pew arrangements.
I actually want this kind of arrangement. I dislike tulle hanging in between pews. Either this arrangement (below), with pink flowers and pink ribbons (gingham plaids!) or roses in pink-and-brown-striped tin buckets (I can get buckets in Mayon and have them spray painted by my artsy sister.
It actualy looks like this up close:
Assign: Lector, 1st Reader/2nd Reader, Singer, Offerers.
Misallettes: How many pieces for 150 guests?
