Finally Friday!

This means the husband is home and  we have a lot in our to-do list today (and we still havent slept, we are catching up on much needed talk).

We need to go to the grocery, buy a dryer for the laundry, DVD burner, go to the dentist, canvass appliances and furniture – he wants to replace some areas of the room with glass tiles and buy Halloween costumes for the kids.

Ay! So much to do for a Friday!!!

To-Do This Weekend.

We are going out again after lunch and I have been up since 3AM trying to squeeze in some work (Sunday will be ultra busy too). In between trying to beat work-related deadlines, researching about cheap life insurance for an aunt, I need to make sure I have quality time with the husband who is here for three days – a first since August!

I will be back to being a working machine come Monday!

Friday Fill Ins #147

Serendipity

And...here we go!
1. The crickets sing, and I feel it’s going to be night soon.
2. Take care wherever you are.
3. I want to get far away from the busy-ness and worries of everyday life.
4. Going to Europe; this was a dream.
5. But as for me I am going to stick with what is our goal as a family – go to the US soon.
6. From sleep I come from
7. And as for the weekend, tonight I'm looking forward to eating out with family, tomorrow my plans include watching a show with my family and Sunday, I want to go on a spiritual retreat!!

Christmas Shopping

I am so frustrated that my friend just posted her items for sale now that I am almost done with my Christmas shopping. I promised myself I won’t shop that much this year. Even for Naot shoes – I shopped for nice everyday shoes at ALDO and nice sandals from Old Navy! I need to be more organized with my christmas list though – there are too many people to give gifts to!

No To Motorcycles

The husband has been trying to convince to let him drive a motorcycle to work. His father and brother have motorbikes he can use but I don’t want him to – Im just so scared of accidents. I have uncles who died because of motorcycle accidents. I am sure sooner or later we would need a Pleasanton motorcycle accident attorney with the way traffic here is in the city. I hope he heeds my advice!

“Green” Hosting

Times are hard these days. We are experiencing the devastating effects of the things we have done and are continually doing to our environment. Climate changes are at its worst, with drought and floods everywhere and the changing of seasons hard to predict even by experienced weathermen and their state of the art machines.

It is nice to know that there are companies who are doing what they can to help save the environment by increasing awareness in people. We all know that the world wide web is the easiest and fastest way to spread information and that is what Super Green Hosting is doing. Aside from having the best business hosting packages competitively priced among companies, SuperGreenHosting.com also lets you have your own green certified certificate that you can use on your site so your visitors know that you are actively working to reduce carbon footprint and are doing your share to save the environment.

It is being used by more US and UK businesses on the web because of it many benefits:

  • Free Domain Name & Free INSTANT Setup
  • Unmetered Disk Space & Bandwidth
  • Unlimited MySQL, Hosted Domain Names & Emails
  • ANYTIME Money Back Guarantee

It has earned the distinction award of being the Best Business Web Host of 2009!

Going to HK.

Most of my friends have been booking flights to Hongkong next year as they want their kids to experience DisneyLand. With the H1N1 scare not really brought down in HK, it would be best to have travel health insurance just to be sure. We do not have plans to go to Disneyland yet but is sure is fun to plan with them so I know how what to do next time :)

Move.

When I was mapping out our plans for back then for 2008, I can’t help but feel both excited and anxious at the same time because of our impending move. It will be a big move since we are moving to the province. It will help that we might be buying most of the furniture since we will be moving into a new house, OUR own house. I just hope it can be easier for us financially as I am sure money will be tight for us. It is not that we have many things to move into in the first place. However, we do have a lot of books and stuff. A reliable Moving Company would have been nice because we used a small van to haul our stuff and it took us around seven or eight trips to complete our move. And mind you, it is about a three hour trip one way, with loads of gas to use up. I hope a moving company like Humboldt movers can be formed here in our country. At Humboldt movers, you are taken cared of from hauling your precious stuff into the moving truck to unpacking and getting them to your new place. They even offer insurance.
