Getting it Right for a Second Time

We are looking for the market for a car that can replace our old vehicle. Since we know we don’t have a budget for getting a brand new one, we are looking at used cars. We know that there wouldn’t be much guarantee on this, and it pretty is a hit or miss thing so we need help on deciding on which used car to get – preferably in good condition still.

Drivetime has introduced the DriveCare package though that can help us a lot. Basically it gives you a 36-month/36,000 mile warranty - you get periodic change oil and filter, maintenance and you car is under warranty for major mechanical and other electrical components for 36 months!

It sounds too good to be true right? You better believe it! Thankfully, there are companies like Drivetime that can help people like us.

Laptops

There is much debate whether hp laptops are superior to other branded laptops like Dell, Acer and Toshiba. I personally cannot say because I only have had a Dell laptop all my life. My sister is running on an Acer while my Dad’s ancient Toshiba is still running (and in good condition I might add). Ive yet to meet a person who has an HP!

Marketing Lists

Ever wonder where do the telemarketers ever get your number? Simple – companies usually buy a marketing list from companies who specialize in coming up with consumer mailing lists like the List Company.

This company prides itself in having a very comprehensive, accurate and updated list of consumers and list brokers. Their database currently contains in excess of 14 million US businesses and 300 million US consumers. That is a lot of research done! Their list is target-based – so if you request for a mailing list for let’s say, 30-year old women with children living in Texas, you are most likely to get EXACTLY what you have asked for.

Direct TV

I have long been wanting to have cable installed in our home. Unfortunately, it wasn’t offered in our are until now. So when the offer came, I grabbed the chance and browsed the DIRECT TV Packages available.

DIRECTV Packages are available at BlogTelevision.net and their offerings are very affordable. For the premier package, you get 265+ channels already at only 59.99USD/3months.

However, among the DIRECTTV Packages they have, I most would love to have the PLUS DVR package – it’s only 39.99USD/3months and I get to DVR all the shows that I just need to watch, at my own pace and time!

Kitchen Inspirations

Aside from FB, I browse so many home decor and interior decorating blogs these days. Every house is so pretty – and take note, not all are actually luxurious. Some are simple but are so well-thought of, the details are amazing. I wonder sometimes how they clean their houses, I guess dust is not part of their everyday enemy in keeping the house clean. The kitchen and bathrooms are an envy, these two areas in my house are the ones I do not have any choice but to live with -- if we had our own, it will feature Toto sinks!

Kids These Days…

I was doing some leisurely time catching up on my friends’ status over at Facebook when I read one of my friend’s status saying that her six year old girl came home from school one day and told her she “needed” a cellphone and it would be great if it would be in red! Then her five year old boy comes up to say “Mom I think I need an iPod. Im bored!” Can you believe that? I am not surprised. My nine year old actually asked one of the netbooks he saw online as a Christmas gift. Not in 8 years buddy!

Cold.

It has been a cold and grey week thus far. It has been raining most part of the week and the sun has been absent as well. It is the perfect time to just sleep and eat and laze around all day, I feel so sluggish. Unfortunately, I can’t afford to be lazy because I want to finish deadlines by next week to reach my goal money next month. Maybe we can install furnace filter to keep me warm?

Help Stat!

And I am not talking in medical jargon here (you will hear that in cases of emergency). I am talking about needing some Statistics help with my niece. She is currently in high school and has problems solving Statistics problems and understanding Statistics questions. She really needs a Statistics tutor, but we need someone who has a flexible time schedule as my niece has a lot of extra-curricular activities in school.

A friend referred us to Tutor Vista, an online tutoring program. I was quite hesitant at first as how can you discuss math online? It turns out they have a one-on-one classroom virtually, with a “chalkboard” for drawing equations. You can try them and get free Statistics help and get Statistics answers!

NOT Pregnant.

Ever since I can remember, every month, somebody always asks me if I am pregnant or on the way. Some even assume that I am and ask right away how far along that way am I. I used to get offended before but I am used to it now. My belly is really huge, owing to eating too many sweets, drinking soda and spending lots of time just sitting in front of the computer. If only there is an easy way to get rid of stomach fat – but I know only dedication, discipline, diet and exercise is the only way to do it!

Skin Care Relief

I should really make time to have some day all by myself soon. That is one of the things I aim to do this year – set aside some me time, be selfish so I can recharge. One of the things I aim to do is visit a dermatologist, have a facial and a cauterization for my warts. I see them now so I know they are getting big (warts can be microscopic – everyone has them, relax!). Fortunately, my skin is very low maintenance, no eczema nor pimples. I just need to moisturize and apply creams because the weather is cold and I am not getting any younger. Signs of aging are appearing – dry skin, wrinkles, crow’s feet, etc.

Blogging and Hosting

I would like to think I have come a long way when it comes to blogging. From just blogging on free platforms like Blogger, Blurty and LiveJournal, I now have more than 10 domain names, each of them have blogs of their own, and their web hosting is supported by a friend.

Having your own domain is like having your own home in the world wide web. It is pretty cheap so anyone can have their own. Think about names that you would like to have, and make sure that the title of your domain reflects what is in the blog.

Best Budget Hosting companies are featured in WebHosting Geeks all the time. There are quality, affordable and efficient web hosts that can support your needs. Just do your research.

Mamma Mia

My kids surprisingly liked watching Mamma Mia the movie. They liked the songs and would even dance to it, most especially my little girl. I wonder if I can take them to watch the play itself. There are Rosemont Theater Tickets I can score at ACheapSeat.com. If not, we can always watch Sesame Street Live, also showing on the same theater.

The husband wants to get Notre Dame Stadium Tickets to watch some good old Irish football or Soldier Field Tickets to watch Bon Jovi. When we were teenagers, he was an avid fan of Bon Jovi. I told him to pick only one.

Or better yet, we can watch U2 together on July 6th at Soldier Field too!
